If you frequently host a certain kind of event at your facility, you can use the Package Configuration feature to define a standard set of resources from your setup, staffing, catering and beverages tables.

For example, if a company hosts many business meetings at their facility, they could create a special “Morning Meeting” package, which will always include rental of a projector and screen, coffee and doughnuts, and hire of a setup crewperson.  Weddings are also common events at many facilities.  A facility may want to set up several wedding packages containing standard catering, beverage and decoration options, rather than having to create a custom combination of resources for each customer.

You have several options for pricing a package: you can set a flat rate for the entire package or use a per-person charge, or you can use the prices of the individual package items.

While you can still customize the package for each event by adding and removing items as required, the packages feature will save you the time of entering commonly used items for certain types of events.

To access the Package Configuration screen, select Setup | Resources | Package Configuration from EventPro's main menu.

The Package Configuration screen is divided into two sections:

The upper selection grid will contain a list of Packages.  Use the View All/View Available button in the upper right corner to toggle between viewing all configurations and viewing only available configurations.  If you are viewing all, unavailable configurations will be highlighted in red.
The bottom grid contains four tabs, detailing the Setup, Staffing, Catering and Beverage items available in the package highlighted in the top grid.
