Select Location, Dates and Times
|
|
||
| 1. | On the Booking Calendar, select the cell or cells corresponding to the location, dates and times in which you wish to book the event. The selected cell or cells will be highlighted with a black honeycomb pattern. |
| a. | To select one cell, simply click on the cell and select Event | New in the Button bar, or right-click the cell and select New. |
| b. | To select multiple adjacent cells or multiple non-adjacent cells, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard as you click or drag the mouse across the required cells. You can select multiple cells within one view or even across multiple views. For example, to select one day out of each month, hold down the Ctrl key while scrolling through the months and picking the desired days. Then, click Event | New in the Button Bar. |

| c. | To release multiple-selected cells, let go of the Ctrl key and click any cell. |
| 2. | Regardless of the number of cells selected, or their positions on the grid relative to each other, one booking will create one event. EventPro will assign a single Booking Number to all the selected cells. |
| a. | Remember that an event is actually a collection of related functions. For instance, a wedding party booked over three days is one event, but may comprise a rehearsal supper on the first day, the wedding reception and dance on the second, and the gift opening on the third. |
| b. | Note that if you chose a date prior to today, the Confirm dialog box will warn you that you are about to create a historical event. If you want to continue creating the historical event with the selected date(s), click Yes. |
| 3. | The Booking Wizard appears. See the next section - Begin Booking Wizard - to continue. |
