Appending Days/Locations to Bookings
If you want to add days or locations to a previously booked event without having to create a new booking and re-enter a large amount of information, you can use the Append function.
1.
Click the Booking Calendar button located in the upper left corner of the EventPro Screen. The Booking Calendar will display the default view you chose when setting your Preferences above.
2.
Make sure the date and location group settings are correct at the top of the screen. Make any necessary changes.
3.
On the Booking Calendar, select the cell(s) you want to append to an event. You can append adjacent or non-adjacent locations and/or days to a booking.
4.
Select Event | Append from the Button bar in the Booking Calendar.
5.
The New Booking window appears, as with a regular booking, but rather than asking for company and contact information first, this New Booking wizard will begin by asking you to find the event to which you want to append days or locations.
6.
To review how to search in Find window, go to Introduction: Common Functions, Finding a Record. Click to highlight the event to which you want to append dates and click Next.
7.
You will notice that the New Booking wizard has skipped through several pages of the normal booking procedure, and has gone directly to the Location Defaults screen.
8.
The rest of the booking process will be the same as a normal booking. Review the instructions beginning at Location Defaults above. The newly appended locations will be checked for conflicts and displayed on the final page of the New Booking wizard.
9.
Remember that before you finish your booking, you still have the option to make changes to the information you have entered in the wizard and/or enter details about Setup, Staffing, Catering, Packages, Images and Miscellaneous items.
10.
Also, before you can leave the New Booking wizard, you must deal with any booking conflicts that arise.
