Service Settings
You may need to adjust the Service Settings if you use EPWeb or VenueCheck™ (available in the U.K. only). This transfer service runs on your server and transfers copied data between EventPro and EPWeb or EventPro and VenueCheck™ on specified intervals. You only need to adjust these settings if you are using the service and you only need to use the service if you are not using a live database connection.
You could potentially run the service for both EPWeb and VenueCheck™, subject to availability.
Before you can use these settings, you must first install the service and ensure that it is running. The EventPro Service is included with the rest of the product. On your server you will find an EPService.exe - you need to register this service and start it. To help with this process, we also included in the installation a Setup EventPro Service.exe. This is an installation wizard that will help you install this product. Note that there is also a Remove EventPro Service.exe that will stop the service and unregister it.
Each time you edit the Service Settings you will have to stop and start the service.
The EPWebModule is an optional module in EventPro. If you have not purchased this module, you will not see the related tabs and screens. If you are interested in previewing or purchasing the EPWeb Module, please contact your nearest Sales Department.
