Move Components

1.As noted before, you can move a component around the report or from one band to another by dragging and dropping with the mouse.
2.If you want to move several components as one unit, group them by pressing the Shift key and clicking on the each.  Each component should have a pale grey border.  Drag and drop the grouped components to their new location.
3.As you move components around, be careful not to move an object outside of the correct region.  While it may appear as if you have placed the object within the boundaries of the region, it can be difficult to tell.  Even a slight overhang of the component outside the region boundaries will cause the entire component to exist outside the region.  To ensure that you are creating a component in the right place, refer to the Report Tree.

Align Components

1.To align one component with another, click on the component with which you want the second component aligned.
2.Press the Shift key and click on the component you want to move.  The two components should be highlighted in pale grey.
3.Click one of the Align Icons (Left, Right, Center horizontally, Top, Bottom or Center vertically).  The second component will align itself accordingly with the first.
