Room Restrictions

1.Select Setup | Accommodations | Rooms from EventPro’s main menu.
2.Choose the location in which you want to work from the Location drop-down list.
3.Select the Room Group containing the room to which you want to add a restriction.
4.Select the Room from the middle selection grid.
5.Click the New button to the right of the Restrictions tab in the bottom section of the screen.  The Room Restriction [New] window opens.

6.Enter a Description of the restriction, i.e. the reason that the room is unavailable.
7.Choose the From Date and To Date of the restriction from the drop-down calendars.
8.Choose a Conflict Level from the drop-down list to determine if or whether a user can book the accommodation room over the restriction.
a.Full:  You will not be able to book a conflicting reservation.  Once a restriction with a “Full” conflict level setting is in a time slot, nothing else can use that time slot.
b.Warn: EventPro will warn you of any booking conflict, but will not prevent the accommodation reservation.
c.Ignore: Restrictions of this conflict level will not be considered when EventPro performs a conflict check, so the user will be able to book a reservation that conflicts with a restriction.
9.Under Options, select the checkboxes to indicate whether you want the Restriction to appear on the Accommodation Calendar in the Year, Month, Week and/or Day view.
10.Click Save.
