How to Use the Online Manual

Expanding Text

Some sections of Help can be expanded and collapsed so that you can see all of the headings on the page before selecting the section you want to read.

If you see a toggle heading with an arrow next to it, click on the heading to expand the text and/or pictures below.

If you click on the heading, you will see the related text.

Click the heading again to collapse the text and make more room on your screen.

If you click on the heading, you can view the expanded text.  Click the heading again to collapse the text and make more room on your screen.

 

Show/Hide All Hidden Text

To expand all of the Toggles on the page and show the hidden text, click Show/Hide: showhide

To collapse all of the Toggles on the page and hide the text again, click Show/Hide again.

 

Display/Hide Toggle Heading Directory: Contents

If there are several toggle headings in the topic, you can view a directory of the headings by clicking Contents - contents - in the upper right corner of the topic:

Click on the Toggle Heading you want to view, and the hidden information will be expanded for you to view in the topic area below.

To hide the directory, click Contents again.

 

Expand Table of Contents

In the Table of Contents, where you see a closed folder icon like this - toc_closedbook - you can click on it to expand the sub-topics included in the topic.

As long as there is a closed book, there are still unopened sub-topics. When you reach the topic icon like this - toc_topic - there are no further sub-topics.

 

Index

The EventPro User Manual has an extensive index.

Click the Index icon -index - to go to the Keyword Index tab.

Browse by Letter: Click on a letter to go to entries beginning with that letter.  Scroll through the entries until you find what you are looking for. Click on the index entry to view the related topic.

Search Keywords: To search for a specific term, type the keyword(s) in the field and click the Search Keywords button. Matching entries will be highlighted.  Continue clicking the Search Keywords button to move down through the index and view other matching entries. Click on the index entry to go to the related topic.

Search

Click the Search icon - search - to go to the Search tab.

Type in your keywords and click the Submit button.

Use the asterisk (*) as a wildcard if you are not sure of the exact term you are searching for.  For example, if you search for invoic*, the user manual will retrieve topics with the words invoice, invoices, invoicing, etc.

If you enter multiple search terms, select a radio button below to indicate whether you want to match "Any Search Words" or "All Search Words".

When matching results appear in the Search tab, click on the link of the topic you want to view.

 

Print a Topic

If you want to print the topic you are viewing, click the Print button: printer

 

Email EventPro Documentation Department

If you have feedback about a topic, click the Mail button: email

An email will be generated, automatically entering the email address, subject and topic reference.  Type in your comments and send it to us.

 

I can't see something that is described in Help...

As you work through this manual, you may notice that it describes something that you do not see in your software.  Some tabs may not be visible because they are unselected in your System Settings; see 1: Setting Up EventPro, Step 1: System Settings, General.

However, other tabs may not appear in your installation of the software because you have not purchased one or more of EventPro’s optional modules.

These EventPro modules are optional add-on modules available for purchase: Accommodation, Attendee, Booth, Enquiry, EPMobile, EP WebSuite, CalendarAssistant and TaskAssistant.  If you did not purchase a separate module, the related tabs and screens will not appear in your installation of EventPro.  If you are interested in purchasing any of these optional modules or want to receive a free demonstration, please contact your nearest Sales Department.  You can also take a tour of EventPro or request a free demo on our website.

 

Updating Help

If you use Online Help from our website, you will always access the latest version of the User Manual.
