Adding Resources

You may have already added resources to your event while still in the New Booking window.  If you have not yet added resources to your event or you want to edit the set of resources you have already added, you can do so in the Event Maintenance screen under the Detail tab.

If the event contains a single booked location, you will only need to add one set of resources.  However, if there are multiple locations in your event, you may need to add resource details to each.  See the instructions under Adding Resources to One Location and Adding Resources to Multiple Locations below.

For example, a three-day wedding event may require catering on all three days, but you will have to add completely different catering configurations for each function within the wedding event.  The main reception may require a formal plate-service banquet, while the rehearsal dinner is a casual buffet. The gift opening may need only a coffee and tea service. Also, in terms of setup items, the wedding banquet will probably have many more people in attendance, and will therefore require more tables and chairs than the rehearsal dinner or gift opening.

However, if the details of a booked location will be similar to the details you have already added to a previously booked location, you do not have to go through all of the steps of adding individual items to your new booking.  You can simply copy the details by using EventPro’s Copy Resources feature.  Or, if you want to add the same items to several locations at one time, see Adding Resources to Multiple Locations below.

Remember that your ability to add resources to events depends on your user rights.  Review 1: Setting Up EventPro, Step 10: User Rights, Creating User Right Groups.
