
1.The first screen of the New Booking wizard will ask for Company and Contact Information.
2.Enter the information for the Main company related to the event.
1.Under the Main sub-tab, begin typing a name in the Company Name or Contact Name field, or click on the ellipsis to the right of one of the fields. 2.The Find Company/Contact window appears. 3.In the Find Company/Contact window, search for the company and contact in your database. To review how to search in a Find window, see Introduction: Common Functions, Finding a Record. 4.Click to highlight the relevant company or contact and click OK. 5.If you have not yet entered the company and/or contact into your database, select the Companies or Contacts tab and click the New button in the bottom left corner of the Find Company/Contact window. If you need additional assistance in adding a company or contact, refer to the instructions in 1: Setting Up EventPro, Step 6: Company/Contact. 6.When you are finished entering companies and/or contacts, and have selected the appropriate company or contact, click OK in the Find Company/Contact window. You will return to the New Booking wizard. 7.All of the default contact information related to your selected company and contact will be put into the appropriate contact fields in the New Booking wizard. 8.If you selected a particular company in the Company Name field and want to select a different contact for the company instead of the default contact, click on the ellipsis to the right of the Contact Name field or begin typing the name. Select your preferred contact from the Find CONTACT window and click OK. The Find CONTACT window will close, returning you to the New Booking wizard. 9.If you have not yet entered the new contact into your database, click the New button at the bottom left corner of the Find CONTACT window. If you need additional assistance in adding a contact, refer to the instructions in 1: Setting Up EventPro, Step 6: Company/Contact. 10.After you have selected the appropriate company and contact, you can also edit or view company/contact information by clicking the adjacent Edit or View buttons. 11.To clear the company and/or contact and start over, click the adjacent Clear buttons. |
3.You can also enter company/contact information for a Billing company, Agent, and Venue, if applicable.
If you want to bill this event to a different company, click on the Billing sub-tab. By default, it will be the same as the Main Company/Contact information, but you can select a different company and contact for billing. |
If the Main company/contact is related to an Agent, you can click on the Agent sub-tab and enter the Agent Company’s information. This event will appear in the agent Company’s Events tab in the Company/Contact screen. |
If you want to enter a Venue company/contact, click on the Venue sub-tab and find the correct company and contact. Remember that when you set up Locations, you could choose where the Location's Address defaults from. If you selected Event Venue Company or Event Venue Contact, the location's address for this event will default to the company or contact address you enter here. Review Creating Location Groups and Locations above. |
4.When you finish entering company and contact information, click the Next button in the bottom right corner of the window to continue to the Select Enquiry Option screen (if you have purchased the Enquiries module).
5.If you do not have the Enquiries module, you will continue directly to the Event Information screen.
