1.Select Setup | Resources | Items from the main menu.
2.Ensure that you have selected the Effective Date from which you want to work.
3.Click on the tab that contains the record you want to delete. Select the sub-group, category or item you wish to delete:
1.Click to highlight the sub-group/ category in the top selection grid. Click the Delete button in the upper selection grid.
2.The Confirm dialog box appears, warning that you will also delete all related items under the group. Click OK to continue with the deletion, or Cancel.
3.If there are events using a sub-group, you will not be able to delete the entire sub-group. The Information window will appear, informing you that events are using the sub-group and that you cannot delete sub-groups assigned to an event. You must go to delete the individual items under the sub-group.
4.Note that you are not able to delete the Miscellaneous Sub-Group, although you can delete miscellaneous items.
1.Click to highlight the sub-group/ category in the top selection grid and click to highlight the item in the bottom grid. Click the Delete button next to the bottom selection grid.
2.In the Confirm dialog box that appears, click OK if you are sure you want to delete or Cancel if not.
3.If the item is already being used in an event, you will not be able to delete it, but you can mark it as unavailable so that it cannot be selected for future events. The Information window will appear, informing you that are unable to delete this item as there are events using it. If you want to mark the item as unavailable, click Yes.
4.Note that you can also mark items as Unavailable if you do not want to delete them, but do not want them used in a particular Effective Date.
a.Ensure that you have selected the Effective Date from which you want to work.
b.Edit the Item you want to mark as unavailable.
c.Uncheck the Available checkbox in the [Edit] window for that item.
