Report Categories in Report Explorer

1.To create a new category, click the New Category button to the right of the Report Categories column.
2.The Report Folder [New] window will open.

3.Enter a Folder Name and Description for this new category, and select the Sort Order.
4.If you do not want this category to appear in the Reports Menu, check the Hidden box.  Remember, however, that even if you do not check the Hidden box, a category will only appear in the Reports Menu if it contains reports.
5.Click Save.

1.To edit a category, select the category and click the Edit Category button to the right of the Report Categories column.
2.Make your changes in the Report Folder [Edit] window.
3.You cannot change the Name or Description of hard-coded report categories (in red font).  You can only alter the Sort Order and whether it is Hidden.
4.Click Save.
Click to Expand/Collapse textDeleting a Report Category
1.To delete a category, select the category and click the Delete Category button.
2.The Confirm dialog box will warn you that all reports in the category will also be deleted.  Click OK to delete.
3.You cannot delete the hard-coded report categories or the Custom Report category.
